About The Position

Proofpoint is seeking a collaborative Business Development Representative (BDR) to join its rapidly growing team in Toronto, Ontario. This is a hybrid role, requiring four days in the office. The position offers an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, fast-paced tech company in the enterprise cybersecurity industry. BDRs at Proofpoint are integral to the sales organization's success, working closely with Account Managers to capture market share. The company invests heavily in professional growth, providing resources and support for career advancement. Successful BDRs identify, engage, and qualify potential customers, demonstrating adaptability and creative communication skills. They are expected to be prepared, ask thoughtful questions, and focus on quality over quantity. This role offers visibility to executives and participation in customer demo calls. BDRs are equipped with CRM tools like Salesforce.com and Outreach, as well as social media campaigns. Unlike other companies, Proofpoint's BDR role allows for more than just scheduling meetings and cold calls from a script; it encourages the use of judgment, idea sharing, and relationship building to shape professional journeys.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in French.
