About The Position

Joyful Health is building the financial operating system for healthcare, aiming to fix the financial chaos that plagues the industry. The current healthcare payment system is inefficient, leading to significant revenue loss for practices. Joyful Health's AI-powered system simplifies financial operations, allowing providers to focus on patient care. Having worked as fractional CFOs, the team developed their product alongside providers. They recently secured a $22M Series A funding round led by CRV, with participation from notable investors. The company sees a massive opportunity to address the broken healthcare payment ecosystem and is looking for passionate individuals to join their mission.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of sales or BDR/SDR experience in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Track record of consistent outbound activity: cold calls, email sequences, and multi-touch cadences.
  • Experience working with a CRM and advanced tech stack (HubSpot preferred).
  • Ability to log CRM data accurately and efficiently.
  • Passionate about Joyful's mission to solve real problems for healthcare providers.
  • Motivated by fixing broken systems in healthcare.
  • Relentless, intelligent outbounder who researches accounts before outreach.
  • Ability to write personalized messaging that reflects the buyer's world.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of cold calls without sacrificing quality.
  • Understanding of activity-to-meeting conversion metrics and accountability.

  • Genuine curiosity about the healthcare problem space and desire to develop expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Own outbound prospecting and pipeline creation for Joyful Health.
  • Identify, research, and reach outpatient healthcare practices through cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Build and execute cadences aligned with Joyful's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and messaging strategy.
  • Maintain high activity volume while ensuring personalization.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Claude) for efficient account research and personalized outreach.
  • Qualify inbound interest from bottom-up channels (events, community, partnerships) and set discovery calls.
  • Distinguish between prospects open to conversation and those with urgent pain points.
  • Book and transition high-quality discovery calls to Account Executives with clear context and handoff notes.
  • Take ownership of show rate and meeting quality, not just volume.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene in HubSpot, logging all touchpoints and outcomes accurately.
  • Use data to self-correct and refine strategies.
  • Surface market intelligence and patterns from prospect conversations to inform ICP, messaging, and positioning.
  • Develop expertise in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and healthcare finance to engage credibly with practice administrators, revenue cycle managers, and CFOs.
  • Understand practice economics, payment systems, and revenue leakage points.
