About The Position

Junk Rescue is seeking a high-energy, outgoing Business Development Representative to be the face of the company in the community. This role involves significant in-person interaction, focusing on meeting people, visiting businesses, building relationships, attending networking events, and establishing referral partnerships to generate long-term business. The ideal candidate enjoys talking to people, creating opportunities, and working independently.

Requirements

Outgoing and personable personality
Comfortable walking into businesses and starting conversations
Previous experience in business development, outside sales, customer service, marketing, fundraising, recruiting, hospitality, or networking-related roles
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Organized and accountable
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Build relationships with Realtors, Property Managers, Contractors, Senior Move Managers, Storage Facilities, and other referral partners
Make daily in-person visits to local businesses
Conduct cold outreach and relationship-building activities
Attend networking events, chamber meetings, and community events
Deliver presentations and lunch-and-learns to potential referral partners
Maintain regular follow-up with existing partners
Track activity and opportunities in our CRM
Collaborate with our leadership team to identify new growth opportunities
