About The Position

Cloudcrete is an emerging business within the Heavy Industries ecosystem, building on Heavy’s established expertise in complex fabrication, large-scale creative projects, and custom architectural solutions. With a specialized focus on architectural GFRC products and applications, Cloudcrete benefits from Heavy’s experience, capabilities, infrastructure, and industry relationships while building its own distinct presence in the North American market. The Opportunity Cloudcrete is looking for an energetic, organized, and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to build and manage a strong pipeline of architectural GFRC opportunities across North America. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on generating and qualifying new business opportunities. You will build relationships with architects, developers, general contractors, envelope contractors, landscape architects, artists, municipalities, and other project decision-makers. The goal is to get Cloudcrete involved early in the design process—identifying active projects, building awareness of its capabilities, influencing specifications and material selection, and qualifying opportunities before transitioning them to the Cloudcrete Lead for technical development, estimating, negotiation, and closing. As Cloudcrete continues to grow, you will also play an important role in developing the sales systems, processes, and relationships needed to support long-term growth.

Requirements

  • Experience in business development, technical sales, architectural products, construction, design, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • A demonstrated ability to build new relationships and generate opportunities through proactive outreach.
  • Strong organization, follow-up, and pipeline-management skills.
  • Confidence presenting to architects, developers, contractors, consultants, and other professional audiences.
  • The ability to manage a large geographic territory and balance immediate opportunities with long-term relationship development.
  • Comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment where systems and processes are still being developed.
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States.
  • Persistent, comfortable initiating new conversations, and motivated by building relationships that turn into real opportunities.
  • Technically curious, confident presenting to professional audiences, and disciplined when it comes to organization and follow-up.
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and longer sales cycles and can distinguish between general market interest and a genuinely qualified opportunity.
  • Willing to be hands-on and work closely with design, estimating, production, and leadership teams.
  • Excited by the opportunity to help build a growing business—developing its market presence, relationships, sales pipeline, and the systems that will support its next stage of growth.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with architectural products, specifications, facades, cladding, concrete, GFRC, building-envelope systems, or construction is an asset but not required.
  • Experience using CRM and project-research platforms is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Research target projects, firms, markets, and decision-makers across North America.
  • Identify opportunities across commercial facades, institutional buildings, high-rise developments, landscape and urban design, and custom architectural elements.
  • Generate new opportunities through phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and direct relationship development.
  • Build relationships with architects, developers, contractors, consultants, municipalities, and other project partners.
  • Engage architects and design teams early enough to influence specifications and material selection.
  • Respond to and qualify inbound opportunities generated through Cloudcrete, Heavy Industries, marketing, referrals, and industry relationships.
  • Coordinate and deliver meetings, architectural presentations, lunch-and-learns, and product demonstrations.
  • Present Cloudcrete's capabilities, applications, technical advantages, and design potential.
  • Coordinate sample requests and maintain consistent follow-up.
  • Qualify opportunities based on project timing, scope, design intent, stakeholders, budget, procurement approach, and fit with Cloudcrete's capabilities.
  • Maintain ownership of opportunities through the lead-generation and qualification stages.
  • Transition qualified opportunities to the Cloudcrete Lead when technical discussions, estimating, design support, or commercial negotiation are required.
  • Remain involved in relationship management following handover where beneficial.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts, activities, opportunities, samples, and follow-up actions within the CRM.
  • Help develop and improve Cloudcrete's sales stages, qualification criteria, reporting, and follow-up processes.
  • Maintain visibility across both active opportunities and longer-term architectural relationships.
  • Prepare regular pipeline reports and provide leadership with clear visibility into sales activity and future opportunities.
  • Represent Cloudcrete at industry events, trade shows, conferences, client meetings, and site visits across North America.
  • Monitor market activity, competing products, project trends, and emerging opportunities.
