About The Position

Patrick Allen Companies is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager to join their team in Birmingham, AL. This role involves traveling throughout an assigned territory (primarily Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Decatur) to proactively identify, contact, and close deals with commercial facilities. Requirements

Current, valid driver's license
Ability to travel throughout your territory in a company-provided vehicle
Willingness to occasionally travel overnight (around once per month)

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience in B2B outside sales with a focus on new business acquisition
Experience with industrial equipment, commercial construction, facility maintenance, automotive, distribution, food, chemical, or building systems sales
Familiarity with the overhead door, dock system, and/or life-safety industries
Existing relationships within relevant industries you can build on

Responsibilities

Proactively identify, contact, and close deals with commercial facilities.
Travel throughout assigned territory (Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Decatur) to seek out prospective opportunities with commercial businesses.
Focus on companies within the distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or retail space.
Meet with decision-makers to demonstrate how Patrick Allen Companies' services can benefit them.
Utilize the Sandler-powered sales process to build relationships with prospective clients.
Educate prospective clients on the value of partnering with the company.
Overcome objections to close deals.
