About The Position

The Business Development Manager will identify, target, and develop new business opportunities across HOAs, condominiums, and master associations. This role involves building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified leads, leading the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract execution, and preparing compelling proposals and presentations. The manager will attend board meetings, turnover meetings, and community events, and build strong relationships with Board Members, developers, attorneys, and industry partners. The goal is to establish Folio as a trusted advisor and long-term partner. Collaboration with internal leadership, Marketing, and Regional Vice Presidents is key to ensuring a seamless transition from sales to onboarding and aligning on capacity. The role also requires representing Folio at industry events, staying informed on industry trends, and maintaining accurate pipeline tracking in CRM.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development, sales, or relationship management experience
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline
  • Self-starter with a high level of accountability and drive
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract execution
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to Board Members and developers
  • Attend board meetings, turnover meetings, and community events to generate opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with Board Members, developers, attorneys, and industry partners
  • Establish Folio as a trusted advisor and long-term partner
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to ensure a seamless transition from sales to onboarding
  • Represent Folio at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor positioning, and market dynamics
  • Identify strategic opportunities for expansion within existing and new markets
  • Partner with Regional Vice Presidents and Operations teams to align on capacity and onboarding readiness
  • Work closely with Marketing to support campaigns, branding, and lead generation efforts
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting in CRM (HubSpot or similar)
