Business Development Manager

CapsLock
Remote

About The Position

CapsLock builds long-term marketing solutions for large partners, acting as a permanent marketing partner rather than just running ads. While our core market has been home services and home improvement, we are now expanding into new industries such as insurance, senior care, healthcare, wellness, and beauty. This role is crucial for driving this growth. The primary function of this position is to secure new business by generating initial meetings with potential clients. This is a pure "hunter" role, 100% focused on new business acquisition, with no responsibility for managing existing accounts or campaigns.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years in business development / client acquisition with significant cold outreach experience (any industry, not limited to marketing).
  • Proven track record of building a book of business from scratch, with quantifiable results (open rates, reply rates, booked meetings).
  • Expert-level proficiency in LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Hands-on daily experience with a sales CRM / outreach platform (Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Proficiency in multi-channel prospecting, utilizing sequences, creativity, and persistence beyond single emails and calls.
  • Mature, strategic, and process-driven mindset.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Based in the US or Canada.
  • Ability to work EST hours.
  • Willingness to travel to conferences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Apollo, ClickUp, or Tableau.
  • Experience in the insurance, senior care, healthcare, wellness, or beauty industries.
  • Confident conference networking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Research target industries and companies with the growth team and a dedicated researcher to identify the right decision-makers.
  • Execute creative, multi-channel cold outreach, including email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and non-standard methods.
  • Build sophisticated sequences (7+ touchpoints) rather than simple email blasts.
  • Book meetings with appropriately sized companies, prioritizing quality over quantity (e.g., securing calls with at least half of the target companies in an industry).
  • Attend 4-6 industry conferences annually to network, understand the market, and gather insights.
  • Spend the initial 2-3 months learning the company's value proposition and messaging, utilizing a provided playbook of effective strategies.
  • Share feedback with the launch and CRO teams.
  • Maintain clean and up-to-date pipeline and CRM data.

Benefits

  • Remote Work
  • Paid Time Off
  • Ongoing Learning (workshops, online courses, conferences, certifications)
  • Home Office stipend (equipment and furniture expenses)
  • Physical Well-Being support (gym memberships, yoga classes, home workout equipment, bicycles)
  • Unlimited Sick Days
  • Medical Coverage (reimbursement for medical insurance and health-related expenses, including dental and psychological support)
  • Co-Working Space reimbursement
  • Fun activities (gaming nights, fitness challenges, annual retreats)
