About The Position

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding the presence across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia markets. This individual will focus on building relationships, identifying project opportunities, and supporting proposal and pursuit efforts within both commercial and government sectors.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in construction business development, sales, or project management
Strong understanding of: Design-build and general contracting delivery models, Construction lifecycle (preconstruction through closeout)
Experience selling into government or commercial construction markets
Proven track record of generating leads and closing new business
Established network within the DMV construction or real estate market preferred
Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with federal contracting or public sector procurement processes
Familiarity with subcontractor coordination and construction estimating processes
Prior experience working with small to mid-sized general contractors

Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and secure new construction opportunities within: Federal, state, and local government sectors, Commercial and institutional clients
Develop and maintain relationships with: Owners, developers, property managers, and contracting officers, Architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Lead and support RFP/RFQ pursuit strategy and proposal development
Track pipeline activity and manage opportunities from lead generation through contract award
Collaborate with operations teams on: Project scoping, Budgeting and estimating support, Preconstruction strategy
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming projects in the DMV region
Support strategic partnerships and teaming agreements for government pursuits
