About The Position

Moby is an independent, fibre-optic telecommunications company delivering Internet | TV | Phone services across major urban centres. We design, deploy, and operate our own fibre infrastructure, we’re not a reseller, and we’re not playing small. We’re building something meaningful, and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager who is ready to be a key revenue driver in our next phase of growth. This role is for someone who loves telecom, thrives on the hunt, is obsessed with closing deals and building lasting client partnerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of telecom and sales experience (hospitality sector preferred)
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven ability to develop pipeline, close complex deals, and manage executive relationships
  • A true business development professional who thrives on the chase.
  • Motivated by deals, but grounded in long-term client success.
  • Confident engaging with IT Management, CTOs, and executive stakeholders.
  • Sharp at spotting market opportunities and turning them into revenue.
  • Competitive, accountable, and high-energy whilst still collaborative and team-oriented.
  • Comfortable navigating internal conversations to get things done and improve processes.
  • Known for professionalism, credibility, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Own the hunt. Identify, pursue, and close new bulk telecom opportunities across Senior Housing, Hospitality, and High-Density Multifamily.
  • Build executive relationships. Engage C-level, IT leaders, and key stakeholders and become their trusted telecom partner.
  • Create and convert pipeline. Develop strategic territory plans, generate new opportunities, and consistently drive revenue growth.
  • Win complex deals. Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles and negotiate enterprise-level agreements.
  • Align and mobilize internally. Work cross-functionally to move deals forward, remove roadblocks, and improve how we execute.
  • Spot opportunity early. Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to keep Moby positioned to win.
  • Elevate the brand. Represent Moby in the market and at industry events to open doors and build influence.
