Business Development Manager

GrouponChicago, IL
Hybrid

About The Position

Groupon connects 42 million customers with local experiences - restaurants, events, wellness and travel - and the million-plus merchants who deliver them. Our mission is to get people offline and into the real world at prices that make it possible. We're an AI-native company in the middle of a platform transformation, moving from a deals marketplace to an experience discovery platform that works for customers and merchants at the same time. As a Business Development Manager, you'll find local businesses that need customers and put them in front of millions of Groupon shoppers. You own the whole thing: the prospecting, the pitch, the negotiation, the close. No pod. No hand-offs. Your book, your numbers, your win. This is a hunter's role. If you love the chase, thrive on a "yes," and want a comp plan that pays you for how hard you swing — keep reading. You'll spend your days on the phone and in the field, cold-calling and prospecting local merchants across Beauty & Wellness, Food & Drink, Things To Do, and Home & Auto. You'll learn a business owner's world fast — what's working, what's keeping them up at night — and build a campaign that gets them real customers. Then you'll negotiate the margins, structure the deal, close it, and hand off a merchant who's set up to win.
