To accelerate our growth, CAM is in search of an experienced and growth-oriented Business Development Manager for either Western or Eastern Canada. This will be dependent on whether our search results in a more qualified candidate in either region. This individual will be responsible for executing CAM’s growth strategy across key industrial areas in Western or Eastern Canada. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth through strategic partnerships and service agreements. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Strategic Growth for Canada and works closely with Canadian Operations leadership, the proposals team, and executive management to ensure alignment with CAM’s business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, project management, or operations within the industrial services sector in Canada.
  • Demonstrated success in securing contracts, developing client relationships, and growing business in Alberta’s industrial market (e.g., oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, etc.).
  • Well-connected with a strong industry network in Western or Eastern Canada.
  • Strong business acumen with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.
  • Motivated, adaptable, and collaborative with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
  • Committed to safety, client service, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel across the region as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a construction management certification, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across industrial facilities and capital projects in Western or Eastern Canada.
  • Support the development and implementation of regional strategies to secure service agreements and drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, site stakeholders, and key industry players.
  • Expand CAM’s service offerings within existing accounts by identifying new scopes and partnership opportunities.
  • Analyze regional market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning within the industrial services sector.
  • Collaborate with estimating, operations, and proposals teams to support bid development and win strategies.
  • Provide regular updates on key pursuits, business opportunities, and emerging trends to leadership.
  • Represent CAM at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions throughout Western Canada.
  • Perform presentation, representing CAM to potential clients and partners.
  • Travel within Alberta and Western Canada as needed to support client engagement and business growth.
