About The Position

We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to help expand hotel revenue opportunities by developing strong business relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and increasing overall hotel sales performance. The Business Development Manager’s responsibilities include generating corporate and group business, maintaining client relationships, coordinating with hotel departments, promoting Marriott brand standards, and achieving revenue goals. To be a successful Business Development Manager, you should possess excellent communication, networking, negotiation, and leadership skills. You should also be highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 or more years of hotel sales, hospitality, or business development experience preferred.
  • Marriott experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and hotel sales systems.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet revenue goals.
  • Professional presentation and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, market trends, and sales strategies preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with hotel departments.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and local businesses.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase hotel occupancy and revenue.
  • Conducting outside sales calls, networking events, client presentations, and hotel site tours.
  • Coordinating with Operations, Front Office, Catering, and Sales teams to ensure excellent guest and client experiences.
  • Preparing proposals, contracts, rate agreements, and sales reports.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and local business opportunities.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of hotel sales and marketing strategies.
  • Managing and growing existing accounts while actively soliciting new business.
  • Promoting Marriott programs, brand standards, and loyalty initiatives.
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
  • Maintaining accurate client records, sales pipelines, and account activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to Marriott policies, procedures, and professional standards.
