About The Position

Visa is seeking a Business Development Manager for the NA Marketing Services team. This role primarily involves supporting the Marketing Services team across all new business processes, including developing written responses to RFPs and creating pitch decks for various Visa NA clients (issuers, merchants, cobrands, and fintechs). The Manager will collaborate with the NA Marketing Services team to gather, organize, and customize materials, consulting with client leads throughout the process. Key responsibilities include delivering marketing materials and thought leadership to the Visa Deal Team to support overall business development. This hybrid position also entails developing materials for advisory initiatives that help clients with their business priorities and drive incremental revenue for both clients and Visa. The Manager may also lead and support additional client-facing marketing engagements beyond core business development duties.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 8+ years business experience, with strong background in RFP and sales pitch processes, marketing, business development or consulting roles that involved project management, marketing or business strategy
  • Experience with issuer or merchant marketing and/or payment industry and/or client service experience preferred
  • Strong executive presence and comfort leading discussions with senior executives
  • Strong written and in person communication skills
  • Strong presentation development and visual design ability
  • Experience with multichannel marketing campaigns (i.e paid social, search engine marketing, paid social, email, direct mail etc.) across the marketing lifecycle (acquisition, usage, retention, loyalty)
  • Experience managing 3rd party agencies and vendors
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Team player with experience coordinating cross functional, end to end projects that included a high level of detail and ability to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
  • Self-motivated. Proactive in asking questions and proposing solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Power Point and Word

Responsibilities

  • Lead RFP response efforts across NA Marketing including the response, pitch work and ideation showcasing Visa as the most competitive and strategic option for our clients.
  • Lead day to day delivery of RFP materials across NA Marketing Services and deliver materials to Visa Deal Team
  • Establish and update a Marketing Services RFP repository to streamline content development moving forward
  • Develop content strategy to support client education on key marketing topics
  • Develop compelling, end to end stories and narratives for deliverables including written capabilities responses, visually driven pitch decks, and presentation talking points.
  • Work cross functionally to develop and implement marketing projects that leverage the best of Visa resources and expertise (e.g., with Sales, Visa Consulting and Analytics, Product, Research and Insights, Creative)
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity on a day to day basis through effective problem solving, recommending new ideas and solutions to win and retain critical client business
  • Manage ad hoc requests from key stakeholders, e.g., clients, Visa senior leadership, etc
  • Support client marketers through strategic business development and sales efforts across all client segments
