About The Position

This exciting position will provide you with the opportunity to play a key role in the growth of our business within the Central Canadian market. As a Business Development Manager AI (BDM-AI) you will promote Teknion’s Architectural Interiors brand to new and existing clients, general contractors and the A&D community.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a recognized industry discipline
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience within Architectural Interiors, design, commercial real estate and/or construction industries with successful sales track record preferred
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships with customers, influencers, dealers and internal team
  • Contacts within the designer, architect, general contractor and commercial real estate industry is an asset
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in your role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software
  • Positive spirit with a highly motivated entrepreneurial attitude

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy designed to generate new business incorporating annual goals and objectives
  • Establish and maintain solid, long‐term relationships with existing and potential clients, designers, architects, general contractors and commercial real estate partners
  • Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of all Teknion Architectural Interior products as well as the competitors’ offering
  • Identify and develop new business leads through direct prospecting, networking at industry events and participation in various industry associations and professional groups
  • Maintain an accurate customer relationship management system to effectively track communication, contact lists/targets, business development activity and sales results
  • Meet with management on a quarterly basis to assess performance against targets, discuss sales leads and activity and set/revise future benchmarks
  • Working with Regional AI Manager, support assigned dealer(s) with product training, allocation and understanding of Teknion resources
  • Collaborate with other areas of the company to enhance and increase cross-selling opportunities (A&D Market Managers, Studio TK and dealer partners)
  • Create and present visually engaging presentations that express the Teknion AI brand, product capabilities and possibilities to meet client needs
  • Act as an ambassador of Teknion by attending relevant industry events that build our profile and brand
  • Ability to travel, including overnight. Amount of travel will vary depending on size of territory and region
