About The Position

Klipsch Senior Care is seeking a Business Development Manager for Home Instead in Kokomo, IN. This full-time role focuses on building and growing the referral network for in-home care services for seniors. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building community relationships, earning trust, and driving results by connecting hospitals, physicians, social workers, families, and senior living facilities with Home Instead's services. This is a growth-oriented position where you will own referral and revenue targets, research new referral sources, nurture existing relationships, and conduct face-to-face meetings. While the office is stable and growing, the referral pipeline offers significant opportunity for development. You will be responsible for building the referral base from the ground up, making a tangible impact on seniors' lives by ensuring they receive the care they need to stay in their homes.

Requirements

  • A college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Prior sales, business development, or healthcare experience is beneficial.
  • Strong relationship-building skills; enjoyment in meeting people and earning trust.
  • Persistence and the ability to follow through.
  • Willingness to conduct face-to-face visits, follow-ups, and attend events.
  • Consultative approach to sales, prioritizing listening and understanding needs.
  • Self-starting and organized, capable of managing own territory, calendar, and pipeline.
  • Goal-driven with comfort in being measured and reporting progress.
  • High level of integrity and honesty.
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce or similar), Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the territory.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends for events and community activities.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, MVR check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and nurture relationships with referral providers including hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, senior centers, hospice, and rehab centers.
  • Prospect new referral sources through face-to-face visits, calls, email, and consistent follow-up, building a database of qualified leads.
  • Ensure reliable presence and add value to referral partners, positioning Home Instead as their first choice.
  • Diagnose referral source and client needs, recommending appropriate Home Instead services and other community resources when beneficial.
  • Present Home Instead services one-on-one and in group settings, and deliver formal presentations to referral providers.
  • Follow up on and convert referral-generated leads, and conduct care consultations as needed using a consultative sales process.
  • Achieve referral and inquiry-generation targets for the territory, contributing to overall market share growth.
  • Develop weekly and monthly sales and marketing plans in collaboration with office leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and disciplined records of calls, presentations, and follow-ups in the CRM.
  • Manage marketing, social media, and documentation to ensure territory visibility and pipeline accuracy.
  • Conduct initial client and Care Professional introductions, and quality assurance visits as needed.
  • Contribute to educational programs and community public relations efforts.
  • Uphold company policies, ethics, and core values in all interactions.
