About The Position

Mondo Robot is a digital experience agency focused on helping ambitious organizations solve complex business challenges through digital experiences, products, platforms, technology, and AI-powered innovation. As part of the broader Unfold network, Mondo Robot has the ability to bring clients not only deep digital experience expertise, but also complementary capabilities and specialized talent across the network. We’re looking for a (Sr.) Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of growth for Mondo Robot. The role is Mondo-first and network-enabled: you will be responsible for building and converting new business opportunities for Mondo Robot, while also identifying opportunities to expand client relationships through complementary capabilities across the broader Unfold network. This is an ideal role for someone who is equal parts connector, strategist, storyteller, and closer —someone who understands digital, spots opportunities, builds trust with senior decision-makers, and knows how to bring the right capabilities together to create value for clients. You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, creating compelling points of view around client challenges, and partnering closely with our strategy, creative, design, technology, and leadership teams to turn opportunities into engagements.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account growth, or client development within a digital agency, creative agency, consultancy, technology company, or similar environment.
Demonstrated ability to generate and close new business, preferably selling complex, high-value services.
Strong understanding of marketing ecosystem – brand, digital experiences, products, platforms, technology, creative, media and/or digital transformation.
Existing relationships with senior decision-makers across marketing, digital, product, technology, innovation, or executive functions is highly valuable.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong business acumen and the ability to understand complex client challenges quickly.
Ability to move comfortably between executive-level conversations and detailed opportunity development.
Highly collaborative approach with the ability to bring multidisciplinary teams together.
Entrepreneurial mindset—you see opportunities where others see ambiguity.
Comfortable with both relationship-led business development and proactive outbound prospecting.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Build the New Business Pipeline: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across target industries and accounts, both for Mondo Robot and Unfold.
Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective clients and strategic opportunities.
Proactively identify companies undergoing moments of change—new product launches, digital transformation, rebrands, M&A, platform modernization, customer experience challenges, or shifts in business strategy.
Build relationships with senior stakeholders across marketing, product, digital, technology, innovation, and executive leadership.
Develop account and prospecting strategies for priority targets.
Create Relationships That Lead to Opportunity: Establish trusted relationships with prospective clients well before an RFP or formal brief exists.
Leverage your network, industry relationships, events, partnerships, referrals, and targeted outbound efforts to generate conversations.
Develop a strong understanding of each prospect's business, competitive environment, customer needs, and digital maturity.
Become a credible thought partner rather than simply presenting agency capabilities.
Shape Opportunities: Work with agency leadership and multidisciplinary teams to understand client challenges and shape potential solutions.
Help translate ambiguous business challenges into compelling opportunities for digital experience, product, platform, brand, and technology work.
Develop strategic points of view, opportunity narratives, and initial scopes of work.
Help determine where our capabilities can create the greatest value.
Lead or support pitches, proposals, presentations, and new business conversations.
Partner Across the Agency + Unfold Network: Collaborate closely with Strategy, Creative, Design, Technology, Product, and Executive Leadership teams across Mondo and the network.
Bring market intelligence and client feedback back into the organization to inform our offerings and positioning.
Help identify emerging opportunities around AI, digital products, customer experience, commerce, platforms, and new technologies.
Ensure opportunities are aligned with our capabilities, commercial objectives, and ideal client profile.
Drive Growth: Meet agreed-upon pipeline, revenue, and new-client acquisition goals.
Track opportunities through the full business development lifecycle.
Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline reporting.
Help develop repeatable approaches, tools, and processes for prospecting and opportunity development.
Contribute to the agency's broader go-to-market strategy and market presence.
