About The Position

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for demonstrating Barco Healthcare's imaging technologies to hospitals, health systems, and end-user accounts. This role involves achieving regional sales targets, tracking opportunities, and performing product demonstrations to highlight product differentiation. The manager will communicate the company's value proposition to key decision-makers, including Directors of Radiology, Chiefs of Radiology, Clinical IT, Purchasing, and other management personnel. Responsibilities include prospecting, evaluating opportunities, presenting products, negotiation, cold calling, product selection, and customer support throughout the purchasing process. The role also involves cultivating new customer relationships and maintaining strong relationships with current customers by effectively utilizing sales and service organizations. The Business Development Manager must be able to detail technical product features, benefits, and attributes to various healthcare customer staff positions and provide sales support to national value-added resellers, regional distributors, integrated solution providers, and OEM Partners. Additionally, the role requires the development and execution of regional business plans that employ strategic account segmentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales/industry experience in an industry that requires complex sales.
  • Experience interacting with physicians as part of a complex sales process.
  • Successful, documented sales track record of achievement
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent phone and presentation skills
  • Proven demonstration skills and technical products
  • Able to travel up to 70% to regional customer sites, tradeshows, corporate meetings, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare IT and capital equipment sales experience preferred.
  • Completion of professional sales training courses strongly desired, e.g., Miller Heiman, Spin Selling, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Effective demonstration of Barco Healthcare’s imaging technologies at the hospitals, health systems, and end user accounts.
  • Achieve regional sales targets and track opportunities from discovery to close.
  • Perform product demonstrations at clinical sites to highlight product differentiation based on clinical, operational, and financial factors.
  • Effective communication of the company’s value proposition with key decision makers to include Director of Radiology, Chief of Radiology, Clinical IT, Purchasing and other key department management personnel.
  • Prospecting, evaluating opportunities, presenting our products, strong negotiation skills, cold calling, product selection and supporting the customer's purchase.
  • Cultivate new customer relationships and maintain a strong focus on current customers through the effective use of sales and service organizations.
  • Ability to detail technical product features, benefits, and attributes to various staff positions in healthcare customers.
  • Provide sales support to national value-added resellers, regional distributors, integrated solution providers, and OEM Partners.
  • Development and execution of regional business plans that employs strategic account segmentation.
