We’re looking for someone who knows how to build it. As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities that drive meaningful revenue growth. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to bring opportunities from concept to contract—owning relationships, shaping strategy, and helping position the company competitively in the market. If you thrive in environments where you can open doors, solve problems, and win business, this is your lane.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or technical/manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to generate and close new business (not just manage existing accounts)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and long sales cycles
  • Comfortable discussing technical products or engineered solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel up to 60% (occasionally up to 80%)
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move as needed throughout the workday

Nice To Haves

  • You’re a true hunter—you know how to create opportunity, not wait for it
  • You’re commercially sharp and understand how to structure a deal
  • You can hold your own with both engineers and executives
  • You’re organized, proactive, and don’t need to be chased for updates
  • You bring energy, urgency, and ownership to everything you touch

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Develop account strategies and drive opportunity progression from lead to close
  • Partner with internal teams to develop proposals, pricing, and customer presentations
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure commercially sound agreements
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasts, and CRM updates
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, and leadership to align on execution
