About The Position

The Frederick Flying Cows are seeking a motivated, outgoing, and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to help drive revenue and continue growing one of Frederick’s most unique sports and entertainment brands. This position will play a major role in the organization’s revenue generation efforts, with a primary focus on corporate sponsorship sales, group ticket sales, business development, and relationship management. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new prospects, building relationships throughout the Frederick business community, developing creative partnership opportunities, and turning those relationships into long-term revenue for the Flying Cows. This is a sales position! The ideal candidate will be comfortable picking up the phone, sending cold emails, attending networking events, walking into local businesses, meeting with decision-makers, developing proposals, closing deals, and then ensuring our partners receive an outstanding experience after the sale. In addition to our professional basketball season, the organization operates events and initiatives throughout the year including youth camps and clinics, Cowfest, golf events, high school basketball events, community appearances, and more. Because we operate with a small and highly involved staff, this individual will also have the opportunity to work across many areas of the organization and gain hands-on experience in professional sports. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in sports sales, sponsorship, business development, and revenue generation while having a direct impact on the growth of a young professional sports franchise.
