About The Position

Ansell is looking for a Business Development Manager, Scientific to join their team. This is a remote regional position covering NY, CT, VT, and candidates must reside in NY or CT. The role involves managing and developing strategic customer and distributor relationships to achieve accelerated growth in core scientific market segments. The position also requires collaboration across regions to develop capability, share successes, and contribute to the overall Scientific business growth. The base salary range is $95,000 to $105,000 per year, with potential for additional compensation and benefits. Candidates must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years’ experience in business-to-business and channel selling or proven track record in core market segments and current business
  • Proven track record in account development and management
  • Ability to facilitate, implement and drive large territory plans and results using solid project management and planning skills with customers, distributors, and Marketing/Planning organization to achieve results
  • Demonstrated ability managing complex sales cycles and distributor relationships
  • Previous experience selling to Life Science, FDA regulated, controlled and critical market segments
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time by car
  • Must reside in the territory of NY, CT, VT
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering the financial targets assigned to the territory and accelerating growth
  • Develops, plans and implements sales strategies within the territory collaborating with the Inside Sales and Global Account Teams to achieve revenue targets
  • Conducts regular planning and strategy meetings with key distributor teams to ensure alignment and monitor/review progress against strategic initiatives
  • Updates their business plan regularly and uses the business plan as a roadmap for the achievement of their territory sales goals
  • Communicates with and provides feedback to their manager regarding customer strategy, platforms, activity, and capability gaps to improve execution and business performance against the business plan
  • Manages and grows multi-state territory through comprehensive sales planning, technical sales skills, and project management skills
  • Responsible for finding and developing new customers and expanding existing accounts
  • Creates awareness and demand for company products through market insights and customer process knowledge
  • Uses and continues to develop technical expertise related to products and industry to facilitate customer behavior change
  • Develops and maintains solid relationships with distributors and end-users
