About The Position

The Business Development Manager will manage a growing $6M+ market and drive sales growth by expanding key OEM accounts and developing new business opportunities. This role involves building and managing strategic customer relationships across engineering, procurement, operations, and executive teams. The position requires identifying market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to support growth strategies. The manager will partner with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, and Supply Chain to deliver customer-focused solutions and new product opportunities. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales plans, negotiating contracts, and achieving revenue and profitability targets. Pipeline activity, forecasting, pricing, and account strategies will be managed through CRM and data-driven analysis. The role requires up to 50% travel across North America to support customers, uncover opportunities, and strengthen key account relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales, marketing or product management with track record of increasing responsibility
  • Ability to sell technical products and communicate effectively with both engineers and executive decision-makers
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and contract management skills
  • Experience in strategic, data-driven long-term growth

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in gears, valves, pneumatics, automation, robotics, power transmission, or related industrial markets is highly preferred
  • Engineering degree preferred in mechanical engineering, product/marketing management, technology or comparable knowledge and qualifications acquired in practice
