About The Position

As a Business Development Executive at Halter, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring customer success within your designated territory. You will be responsible for executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and meeting ambitious growth targets, all while acting as Halter’s on-the-ground representative. This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach, with a focus on both expansion and long-term customer satisfaction. In this role, you will prioritise daily efforts that optimise growth performance and drive value for your customers. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Support, and other regional sales teams, you’ll share field insights to ensure Halter’s technology continues to meet the needs of farmers. Your contributions will directly support Halter’s mission to support 50% of the world's habitable landmass to be more productive and sustainable. This role is based in the North Canterbury / Selwyn region and will require travel.

Responsibilities

  • Executing sales strategies

  • Prioritizing daily efforts that optimize growth performance and drive value for customers
  • Sharing field insights with cross-functional teams (Product, Support, other regional sales teams) to ensure Halter’s technology meets farmer needs
  • Conducting on-farm sales meetings to understand prospect needs and communicate functionality, benefits, and value
  • Prospecting to build and grow a pipeline of quality farms, reducing sales cycle times
  • Managing newly sourced and inbound leads through initial pipeline stages (screening and qualifying)
  • Networking to build and leverage industry relationships and maintain Halter's brand
  • Working with the Regional Sales Manager on monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting
  • Optimizing and evolving the sales process with the Regional Sales Manager for speed, efficiency, and predictability
  • Performing other duties as required
