About The Position

D2L is a cloud company modernizing education and building the Future of Work. The Business Development Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the execution and follow-up of business development activities at D2L. This role would suit someone who is interested in a future in Sales. The Business Development Coordinator will monitor and respond to incoming inquiries, monitor the RFP Inbox, assist in account research, adding new contacts to key accounts and develop internal training tools to support the business development team. The successful candidate will also improve efficiency of lead generation activities by providing quality data for call-out programs and assist in entering and maintaining client and prospect information in our CRM.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, and will not graduate prior to this co-op role (preference for students enrolled in an official co-op program)
  • Able to work 40 hours per week
  • Able to work in-person from a D2L office (office location dependent on role)
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence in making phone calls and speaking with people
  • Ability to work in a team-based and client-focused environment
  • Ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Business Administration, Marketing, or Social Sciences background
  • Familiarity and interest in AI tools (ChatGBT, CoPilot,etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to our relevant email and voicemail inboxes
  • Research target customers and develop target lists for proactive campaigns in our respective markets
  • Help maintain high data quality within CRM through lead clean-up activities
  • Assist with the creation of training documents
  • Update the internal Business Development team hub
  • Collect post-campaign customer information and enter into CRM
