About The Position

Alliance Health Center is seeking a Business Development Representative to join their team, focusing on the Birmingham Market. This role serves as a liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies, aiming to increase demand for the facility's addiction services through ethical marketing and sales. The representative will collaborate with the Director of Business Development and the team to project a positive public image. The position involves implementing the facility's addiction strategic sales plan, enhancing brand image, managing a territory, and achieving business development goals. The ideal candidate should possess tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced setting. Alliance Health Center is a behavioral and addiction healthcare system offering inpatient medical detoxification, inpatient dual diagnosis rehabilitation, a Partial Hospitalization Program with lodging, and an Intensive Outpatient Program for adults 18 and older. It is part of Universal Health Services (UHS), a large healthcare management company with a history of growth and a focus on exceptional service and cost control.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Skills in public speaking and problem solution.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A Bachelors’ degree in marketing, business, public relations or related field or 3 to 5 years of experience in addiction/mental health marketing.
  • Behavioral Health Experience preferred.
  • This position does require extensive travel throughout the state of AL and occasional travel in surrounding states, so a valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing a strategic plan to promote the services offered at Alliance Health Center to all potential referral sources in a manner consistent with the mission and vision of the hospital.
  • Travels the state of AL and occasional agencies in surrounding states to maintain a database of healthcare professionals.
  • Responsible for growing patient census by consistently exploring the development of new referral sources, maintaining and managing existing accounts, identifying referral source needs and tailoring services to meet those needs.
  • Coordinates with the Director of Business Development with on-going updates of the Referral Source Data Base.
  • Coordinates with the Admissions Department efforts to follow up with all referral sources regarding referrals and admissions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
