About The Position

Special Strong San Diego provides adaptive fitness programs designed to improve strength, mobility, independence, confidence, and quality of life for individuals of all abilities. We are expanding our partnerships with senior care, healthcare, and community-based organizations throughout San Diego County and are looking for a motivated professional to help us establish new facility and organizational contracts. We are seeking a results-driven Business Development & Partnerships Coordinator whose primary responsibility will be to identify, develop, and secure B2B partnerships and contracts with senior care, healthcare, and community organizations throughout San Diego County. The primary focus of this role is developing relationships with organizations that can contract with Special Strong to provide adaptive fitness and wellness programs at their facilities or for the populations they serve. The ideal candidate is comfortable prospecting, visiting facilities, reaching decision-makers, presenting programs, coordinating demonstrations, negotiating opportunities, and consistently following up until a partnership agreement is established.

Requirements

  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident approaching organizations and senior-level decision-makers.
  • Comfortable with prospecting, cold calling, email outreach, and in-person facility visits.
  • Ability to independently develop leads and create new partnership opportunities.
  • Persistent and comfortable with a longer B2B sales cycle requiring multiple follow-ups.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple prospective partnerships simultaneously.
  • Comfortable maintaining CRM records and reporting business development activity.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel throughout San Diego County.

Responsibilities

  • Identify organizations that could benefit from Special Strong's adaptive fitness and wellness programs.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective organizational partners.
  • Contact and visit facilities throughout San Diego County.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key decision-makers, including Executive Directors, Administrators, Wellness Directors, Activities Directors, Program Directors, Clinical Directors, and other organizational leaders.
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospective partners.
  • Present Special Strong's programs, services, and organizational partnership options.
  • Understand each organization's needs and identify appropriate partnership opportunities.
  • Coordinate free demonstrations, presentations, and pilot programs when appropriate.
  • Develop opportunities for ongoing facility-based adaptive fitness programs.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with decision-makers throughout the business development process.
  • Work toward converting qualified opportunities into signed organizational partnership agreements and contracts.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, meetings, follow-ups, demonstrations, proposals, and partnership status in the CRM.
  • Provide weekly updates on outreach activity, partnership pipeline, and contract opportunities.
  • Attend senior care, healthcare, disability-services, and community networking events when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Special Strong's operations and training teams after a partnership is secured to support successful program implementation.
