Development & Community Partnerships Manager

HEALING WARRIORS PROGRAMFort Collins, CO
$46,000 - $52,000Hybrid

About The Position

This is the public, relationship-building face of Healing Warriors in Northern Colorado, and it carries real revenue responsibility. You will be out in the community forming partnerships and building relationships, and you will turn those relationships into the individual giving, corporate partnership, and community fundraising revenue that keeps our clinics services at no-cost for the veterans we serve. You will work directly with the Executive Director and Board, own the donor and partner pipeline end to end, and represent the organization at community events, veteran service organization gatherings, and partner functions across the region. This is an active, out-in-the-community role, not a desk role. We are a small, mission-driven team. The right person wants ownership, moves quickly, builds authentic relationships, and is energized by turning community goodwill into sustained financial support. This is a hybrid role: remote work is supported, with regular in-person presence for events, partner meetings, and clinic visits across Northern Colorado.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising, sales, sponsorship, or partnership development, with specific examples of revenue you personally generated.
  • Strong relationship builder who is comfortable making direct asks and closing commitments.
  • Excellent public speaking and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of CRM-based pipeline management and disciplined record keeping.
  • Connection to, and genuine respect for the veteran and military family community; existing Northern Colorado networks are a strong plus.
  • Self-directed and accountable; thrives with clear goals and high autonomy.
  • A collaborative, transparent team player who keeps colleagues in the loop, coordinates across departments, and builds trust internally as well as externally.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally, including occasional evening and weekend events.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead fundraising relationships. Build, manage, and close a pipeline of individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners, with personal accountability for annual revenue goals set with the Executive Director.
  • Grow partnerships. Identify and cultivate business, civic, healthcare, and veteran-community partnerships that produce sponsorships, workplace giving, third-party events, and referral relationships.
  • Drive event sponsorship and fundraising. Secure sponsorships and fundraising revenue for Healing Warriors signature events, including the annual golf tournament and future community fundraisers, with clear revenue goals for each event. Support near-term events already on the calendar from day one.
  • Be the face of the organization. Represent HWP at community events, veteran service organization meetings, Stand Downs, and partner functions; deliver presentations that convert awareness into support.
  • Steward every gift. Design and execute donor stewardship that retains and upgrades supporters: timely acknowledgment, impact reporting, and personal touchpoints.
  • Run a disciplined pipeline. Maintain accurate, current records of all contacts, asks, and gifts in our CRM; report pipeline and results to the Executive Director weekly and to the Board monthly.
  • Collaborate. Partner with the Executive Director on messaging, campaigns, and events, and with the finance team on revenue tracking and gift documentation.
