About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Center (BDC) Manager to lead and grow our BDC department. This role involves managing incoming sales and service inquiries, developing customer relationships, and supporting dealership sales efforts. The successful candidate will oversee team members responsible for internet leads, inbound calls, and customer follow-up to maximize sales opportunities and customer retention.

Requirements

  • Experience managing an automotive Business Development Center or internet sales department.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, lead providers, and website backend tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and dealership systems such as Reynolds and Reynolds is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming sales and service appointment inquiries via phone and internet.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise BDC team members, monitoring their performance.
  • Promote the dealership through online and social media channels.
  • Assist sales staff with managing customer deals throughout the sales process.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to new leads within established timeframes.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on sales activities and team performance.
  • Conduct follow-up communications with unsold customers to maximize sales.
  • Maintain follow-up systems for sold customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership goals.
