About The Position

Consensys Incorporated is an independent blockchain infrastructure company, spun out of Consensys Software Inc. We build and operate neutral, institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure that connects banks, asset managers, custodians, and financial market infrastructures to digital asset networks. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, and operating across the US, Europe, and Australia, Consensys Incorporated launched as an independent entity in September 2026 and is building the team to match its ambition. This role is the first hire on the Business Development team. The associate will own the pipeline data and act as the coordination layer between prospects, engineering, and leadership, ensuring that promises made in sales conversations align with delivery capabilities. This individual will be the go-to person for deal status, client requests, and commitment verification.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years in B2B tech sales, business development, or a client-facing role at a financial institution, fintech, or market infrastructure provider.
  • Working knowledge of institutional finance operations: trade lifecycle, clearing and settlement, custody, collateral.
  • Real curiosity about onchain infrastructure and tokenized assets, with the ability to explain its relevance to treasury or operations buyers without hype.
  • Strong written communication skills: clear, concise, and accurate emails, notes, and summaries.
  • Organized and persistent approach to managing long deal cycles.
  • Commercially sharp with the ability to distinguish interest from intent and disqualify deals early.
  • Comfortable working in a young, developing company where processes are still being established.
  • Direct communication style, prioritizing substance over polish and addressing difficult topics kindly and early.
  • Coachable and collaborative, receptive to feedback and focused on making colleagues more effective.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into, or working at, a bank, custodian, CSD, exchange, or clearing house.
  • Familiarity with Ethereum, EVM networks, or permissioned blockchain deployments.
  • Exposure to repo, FX, stablecoins, or tokenized treasuries/RWAs.
  • Experience with enterprise procurement processes: RFPs, vendor due diligence, InfoSec reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Building pipeline with financial institutions: banks, custodians, broker-dealers, asset managers and market infrastructure providers.
  • Conducting account research before every conversation to understand a prospect's settlement stack, collateral and liquidity problems, public statements on tokenization, and other ongoing discussions.
  • Qualifying opportunities against the company's offerings: access, execution, interoperability and network engines, forward-deployed engineering engagements, managed hosting, interop settlement, and sequencer services.
  • Supporting live deal cycles, including discovery notes, meeting preparation, follow-ups, RFP and RFI responses, security questionnaires, and due-diligence packs.
  • Maintaining pipeline and CRM discipline, ensuring stages, next steps, and close dates accurately reflect reality.
  • Gathering and organizing market and competitive intelligence, particularly regarding enterprise post-trade vendor pricing.
  • Translating between client terminology (repo, collateral, DvP, cut-off times, operational risk) and engineering terminology (sequencers, finality, nodes).
  • Developing outbound materials and messaging in collaboration with Marketing and Product, including one-pagers, case narratives, event follow-up, and client-focused sequences.
  • Managing presence at events and within the ecosystem, including industry conferences, working groups, and partner channels.
  • Capturing client feedback for the Product team regarding prospect requests, hesitations, and reasons for deal stalls.
  • Utilizing AI for daily tasks such as research, account mapping, drafting content, and meeting preparation, maintaining high accuracy standards.
