About The Position

Array Digital Infrastructure is a leading owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be supporting a company that specializes in the acquisition, development, and management of tower assets that enable critical connectivity. Working at the intersection of telecommunications infrastructure, business development, and real estate, you'll gain firsthand exposure to how Array identifies growth opportunities, manages tenant relationships, and supports the deployment of next-generation wireless networks. As a Marketing & Business Development Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting a collaborative sales team while contributing to projects that help drive company growth. In this role, you'll explore multiple areas of the business, including telecommunications business development, market research, tenant relationship management, sales operations, branding initiatives, and real estate leasing. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, develop practical business skills, and gain insight into the strategies that support a growing infrastructure company. This position will be hybrid based out of our headquarters located in Chicago, IL. Most of your work will take place during core business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), with flexibility to accommodate your academic schedule. By the end of the internship, you will have hands-on experience in market research, business development strategy, tenant relationship management, LinkedIn content marketing, CRM systems, and telecommunications infrastructure operations. Intern Resources: As an intern at TDS, you'll have the opportunity to partner with seasoned professionals on high-priority company projects and day-to-day operations. Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Available to work 30+ hours per week during the summer and 15–20 hours per week during the academic year at our Chicago, IL office.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Strong interest in business development, sales, marketing, branding, commercial real estate, or telecommunications infrastructure
  • Experience conducting research, analyzing information, and presenting findings
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
  • Experience creating content for LinkedIn or other professional social media platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating within a team environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with an interest in sales strategy, market research, and business growth initiatives
  • Previous internship, leadership, campus organization, sales, customer service, or marketing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Research potential tenants, industry trends, and market opportunities
  • Connect with current and former tenants through email and phone outreach
  • Support lead generation efforts through research and data collection
  • Create and maintain reports, trackers, and business development metrics
  • Help monitor lease opportunities, tenant activity, and sales pipeline progress
  • Observe customer meetings, business development conversations, and lease negotiations with industry partners
  • Help create content that showcases company culture, employee engagement, and business activities
  • Assist with marketing materials, presentations, and promotional campaigns
  • Use Canva and other design tools to support branding initiatives
  • Help maintain consistent branding across communications and marketing channels
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new engagement opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM and business tracking systems
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and supporting materials for sales activities
  • Organize prospect and customer information to support outreach strategies
  • Collaborate with team members across sales, operations, and marketing
  • Contribute to special projects that support business objectives
