About The Position

EEA Consulting Engineers is seeking a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator to play a key role in advancing the firm’s brand presence, client relationships, and strategic growth initiatives. In this dynamic role, you’ll support the Marketing team, Principals, and seller-doers across the firm on active pursuits, researching prospective clients and projects, maintaining client relationship systems, along with contributing to EEA's marketing presence. This full-time position is based in Austin, Texas, and offers a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or related roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong research skills with the ability to gather, organize, and communicate findings clearly and concisely
  • Experience with Deltek Ajera or similar CRM/business development tracking platform
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with senior leadership
  • Self-starter who can work independently and take initiative while collaborating effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry experience a plus but other B2B/professional services equally valued
  • Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva
  • Experience with social media content planning and digital communications
  • Familiarity with AEC industry proposal best practices and pursuit processes
  • Experience building or maintaining reports, dashboards, or performance tracking metrics
  • Understanding of seller-doer business development models and client relationship management
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, or performance tracking metrics

Responsibilities

  • Research prospective clients, firms, developers, owners, architects, and general contractors to help Principals identify and prioritize relationship-building opportunities
  • Proactively scan for early-stage projects and emerging opportunities across public and private sectors — tracking planned developments, ownership activity, and procurement pipelines before opportunities go to market
  • Work from both Principal-directed target lists and other strategic pursuits that align with EEA's market sectors
  • Monitor industry news, public announcements, and procurement databases to surface timely and relevant intelligence
  • Support follow-up coordination and next-step tracking after BD meetings and client interactions
  • Maintain accurate and current pursuit tracking, contact records, and business development data in pipeline system
  • Assist with coordination of BD activities, client engagement efforts, and relationship-building initiatives across the firm
  • Coordinate collecting project close out information from internal teams and preparing content for project sheets and website updates
  • Pull and compile monthly performance reports from Hootsuite and Google Analytics, summarizing key metrics and trends for leadership
  • Support RFQ/RFP/proposal development through content coordination, editing, formatting, and production
  • Contribute to social media content development, including helping shape what gets posted and when, in coordination with the Marketing team
  • Assist with marketing collateral, newsletters, and other materials as needed
