Requirements

  • MSc or PhD, or an equivalent combination of education and research experience
  • Bilingual – fluent in both English and French is a requirement for this position

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with members of Mitacs Business Development, Research, and Programs teams to deliver high quality programming.
  • Work closely with stakeholders at the University of Ottawa to fully understand the needs of researchers and students, find industry and not-for-profit opportunities, and identify the best programs to capitalize on the research opportunities uncovered.
  • Speak with industry partners to determine their R&D needs, connect them with specialists in academia, and advise them on the best programs to leverage the research opportunities uncovered.
  • Create and maintain a network of partners and clients in industry in Ottawa and surrounding regions and academia.
  • Provide support to the Business Development team as needed.
  • Provide business development support to all Mitacs programs as needed.
  • Provide business development and student engagement support.
