About The Position

Ruppert Landscape is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Winchester Maintenance branch. This role is responsible for driving sales growth within a defined territory by generating leads, managing relationships, and developing the brand. The position involves identifying new business opportunities, connecting with key decision-makers and local networks, creating job estimates and proposals, and working with internal teams to meet sales objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B interface sales with mid to upper-level management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in commercial landscape maintenance, property management, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial service industry and local landscape market.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze situations.
  • Ability to negotiate with Stakeholders, Property Managers, and diverse clientele.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Business Management, Agribusiness or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation, relationship management, brand recognition, and executing sales within a defined territory.
  • Fostering relationships with influencers and key decision makers.
  • Sourcing new prospects within the local branch market.
  • Participating in local networking events, trade associations, and community-based organizations.
  • Collaborating with branch team members to identify sales goals and strategies.
  • Generating field measurements and estimating job costs based on the desired scope of work.
  • Preparing and presenting bid proposals.
  • Closing business with new or existing customers and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Conducting local market research.
  • Generating customer pipeline and CRM for data management and targeting new leads.
