About The Position
Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global leader in aerospace innovation, proudly headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec, since 1928. The intern will contribute to data analysis to support strategic decision-making, improve data management processes, and optimize operations using advanced analytical tools and automation platforms.
Requirements
- Be eligible to work in Canada.
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
- Proficiency in data analysis and experience with the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power BI, Power Automate, etc.).
- Experience in data management, ETL pipelines, and API integration.
- Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
Nice To Haves
- Basic front-end design (UI/UX) for dashboards and knowledge of Agile methodologies are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collecting and analyzing business needs and documenting requirements.
- Identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements by mapping processes, identifying bottlenecks and suggesting automation.
- Analyzing trends and performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
- Using the Microsoft Power Platform suite (including Power BI, Power Automate, and other tools) to create interactive reports, dashboards, and automate processes.
- Participating in the implementation and optimization of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines and data management processes.
- Collaborating with internal teams to integrate APIs, leverage Databricks for data processing operations, and ensure effective data management.
- Contributing to the improvement of user experience (UI/UX) for dashboards and reports.
- Maintaining clear and structured documentation.
- Training users and supporting implementation by gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
