About The Position

The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to provide insights that support decision-making and strategic planning. You will work closely with various departments to gather data, identify trends, and deliver actionable recommendations. A strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data manipulation tools, and a passion for problem-solving are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases.
Strong knowledge of data analysis tools.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar.
Knowledge of statistical techniques and data modeling.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when analyzing and interpreting data.
5-10 years of experience in a data analysis role

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud platforms.
Familiarity with machine learning techniques for predictive analysis.
Experience in the aviation industry (e.g., aircraft maintenance production, parts usage) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Gather, clean, and organize data from multiple sources.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
Develop and maintain clear and effective data visualizations using tools like Power BI, or Excel to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Prepare detailed reports and create interactive dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
Conduct statistical analysis and predictive modeling to forecast trends and outcomes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, operations) to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data by implementing processes for data validation and quality checks.
Streamline data processes and implement automation where applicable to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
Perform ad hoc analyses to support business initiatives and decision-making.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analysis, data science, and business intelligence.
