About The Position

Androscoggin Bank is seeking a part-time Business Courier to provide a dedicated bank courier service for their business clients. This role involves visiting client businesses to pick up items and deliver them to the bank for processing. The courier will operate within the Central & Mid-Maine market, starting and ending their day in Lewiston to Auburn, with potential travel to areas like Bangor, Augusta, Waterville, or Brunswick. The position emphasizes customer interaction and providing a convenient service that allows clients to focus on their business. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One-year related experience and/or training.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to keep accurate logs and inventory records.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Requires a valid Maine Driver’s License with a clean record.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy packages.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn banking processing software.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong ability to follow procedures.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to interact with individual and business clients comfortably.
  • Reliability and integrity are very important.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pick-up and delivery of items from client location and transporting them to bank location for processing.
  • Conducts daily review to see what items are scheduled for pick up that day.
  • Maintains pick-up/delivery logs and vehicle logs to document duties performed.
  • Responsible for all paperwork assigned, including weekly driver reports, item logs, and timesheets.
  • Utilizes phone and hands-free cell phone devices to stay in contact with the bank team for re-routing and customer service.
  • Ensures quality service is provided during each customer interaction by providing efficient and professional delivery service, answering customer questions, resolving problems or concerns and interacting in a polite and caring manner.
  • Attends annual driving safety training.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner and complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned by the Treasury Operations Manager.
