Reporting to the Director of Innovation, the Business Continuity Engineer will spearhead the enhancement of Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s Business Continuity Program (BCP) across both the Austin and Taylor sites. The role also calls for a mechanically adept professional who has hands-on experience with fab infrastructure and/or fab production equipment, understanding the technical nuances and maintenance requirements of these assets. Familiarity with the associated business processes—such as equipment qualification, preventive maintenance, and capacity planning—is critical to drive continuous improvement and ensure seamless integration of continuity plans. The individual in this position must demonstrate the ability to perform rigorous analyses, propose and drive improvement actions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills are required to manage cross-functional coordination during BCP events.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.).
  • 7-15 Years of Experience in Complex High-Volume Manufacturing environment (Semiconductor a plus).
  • Knowledge of Complex Manufacturing environment; including production equipment, infrastructure and operations
  • Detailed and organized

Responsibilities

  • Conducting annual Threats and Vulnerabilities Analyses.
  • Identifying and driving improvement actions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Designing and executing realistic Business Continuity Program (BCP) drills.
  • Coordinating the activation for any continuity events.
  • Defining, tracking, and evolving multi-site operational KPIs.
  • Building executive grade dashboards to visualize performance, and delivering regular KPI reports and insights to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
