About The Position
Silgan Containers, North America’s leading metal food packaging manufacturer, is seeking a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Analyst to support the organization’s enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery program. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Operations, Risk Management, or Compliance
- Strong understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT service management principles
- Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, or ITIL
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
Nice To Haves
- Experience with disaster recovery testing or continuity exercises preferred
- Experience with hybrid infrastructure or cloud recovery technologies preferred
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
- Certifications such as CBCP, ADRP, ITIL Foundation, or similar preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with Business Impact Analysis (BIA) development and maintenance across business units
- Coordinate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) creation and updates
- Support awareness, training, and communication activities related to continuity planning
- Facilitate and document tabletop exercises, simulations, and testing activities
- Partner with Business Technology teams to maintain Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for systems and infrastructure
- Disaster recovery testing activities including failover exercises and recovery validations
- Conduct risk assessments related to system outages, vulnerabilities, and operational disruptions
- Maintain recovery runbooks, procedures, and resiliency documentation
- Assist in the alignment with regulatory and audit frameworks including ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, SOC, HIPAA, and PCI requirements
- Assist with audit preparation and remediation tracking activities
- Maintain BCDR repositories, templates, documentation, and status reporting
- Participate in coordination activities during incidents or operational disruptions
- Maintain communication materials, dashboards, and reporting documentation
- Monitor industry best practices and recommend process improvements
- Work with cross-functional teams on organizational resiliency initiatives
