About The Position

Silgan Containers, North America’s leading metal food packaging manufacturer, is seeking a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Analyst to support the organization’s enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Operations, Risk Management, or Compliance
  • Strong understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT service management principles
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, or ITIL
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with disaster recovery testing or continuity exercises preferred
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure or cloud recovery technologies preferred
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Certifications such as CBCP, ADRP, ITIL Foundation, or similar preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Business Impact Analysis (BIA) development and maintenance across business units
  • Coordinate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) creation and updates
  • Support awareness, training, and communication activities related to continuity planning
  • Facilitate and document tabletop exercises, simulations, and testing activities
  • Partner with Business Technology teams to maintain Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for systems and infrastructure
  • Disaster recovery testing activities including failover exercises and recovery validations
  • Conduct risk assessments related to system outages, vulnerabilities, and operational disruptions
  • Maintain recovery runbooks, procedures, and resiliency documentation
  • Assist in the alignment with regulatory and audit frameworks including ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, SOC, HIPAA, and PCI requirements
  • Assist with audit preparation and remediation tracking activities
  • Maintain BCDR repositories, templates, documentation, and status reporting
  • Participate in coordination activities during incidents or operational disruptions
  • Maintain communication materials, dashboards, and reporting documentation
  • Monitor industry best practices and recommend process improvements
  • Work with cross-functional teams on organizational resiliency initiatives
