About The Position

The Business Consultant will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities through networking, channel partners, and self-generated leads. This role involves executing proactive prospecting strategies to reach key decision-makers, managing the full sales cycle including post-sale and implementation processes, and negotiating pricing and scope of services. The consultant will also be responsible for completing all required sales documentation, maintaining an accurate sales pipeline, and consistently meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. The position offers competitive base compensation plus commission rewarding performance and revenue generation. This is an on-site role requiring candidates to work from the office in a professional, fast-paced environment.

  • Valid, non-restrictive driver’s license required due to regular travel.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of industry trends, products, services, and broker practices.
  • Conduct detailed analysis, planning, and implementation of products and services tailored to client needs.
  • Monitor competitor initiatives and assess potential competitive threats.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of services provided to clients.
  • Schedule and conduct client meetings to address implementation questions.
  • Collect and analyze data to provide strategic guidance on products, services, marketing, and sales.
  • Prepare concise executive summaries and client presentations.
  • Develop lead generation strategies and manage pipeline activities in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Complete and submit business paperwork, expense reports, and activity reports on time.
  • Participate in consulting meetings and provide coaching or training to team members.
  • Travel domestically as needed for client visits, meetings, events, conferences, and training.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to ensure effective client service.
  • Attend training sessions and webinars to stay current on best practices.
  • Complete additional projects or duties as assigned.
