As a critical component of the socio-economic health of the City, Housing Services is responsible for effectively influencing, advocating and implementing a housing system that meets the needs of the citizens of Ottawa; negotiating with provincial and federal representatives for a systemic and fiscal framework that will achieve Council’s housing vision; and identifying, developing and maintaining strategic alliances, coalitions, networks, business and community partnerships to respond to the City’s housing requirements. You are responsible for: conducting on-going analysis of the organization’s business requirements and recommending and implementing new or improved functionality to business processes and to the information management systems used within the Social Housing Unit or Community and Family Shelters Unit; serving as a functional source of expertise; maintaining the functionality of information management systems; coordinating and collaborating with IT staff in the on-going configuration of information systems including troubleshooting and problem resolution; and providing training, guidance and clarification to housing employees and/or other users as required.
