About The Position

The mission of Louisiana Economic Development is to cultivate jobs and economic opportunity for the people of Louisiana. The Economic Development Business Analytics Specialist supports LED’s operations through enterprise application management, business analytics, reporting, and process improvement. This position works closely with agency leadership, program areas, Information Systems staff, vendors, and governmental partners to develop and maintain technology solutions, ensure data quality, produce reports and dashboards, and improve business processes that support LED programs and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Six years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR Six years of experience in any field plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR An advanced degree plus two years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement.
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reports, dashboards, datasets, and performance information to support agency planning, budgeting, operations, and decision-making.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, enhancement, testing, and administration of enterprise applications supporting LED programs.
  • Administer and provide operational support for systems such as Salesforce, FastLane, SmallBiz (SBITS), Veterans First, monday.com, and other agency applications.
  • Work with program areas, Information Systems staff, and vendors to identify business and technical requirements and implement technology solutions.
  • Manage user access, security roles, permissions, accounts, data quality, and application support requests.
  • Analyze, validate, and maintain enterprise data, including duplicate resolution and data cleanup across multiple systems.
  • Develop and conduct system training and provide ongoing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Coordinate reporting and secure data exchanges with federal, state, and local partners and other governmental entities.
  • Serve as a liaison with the Division of Administration, Legislative Auditor, legislative staff, and other agencies regarding reporting, systems, and performance accountability.
  • Assist with technology procurements, including development of RFQs and RFPs and coordination with vendors.
  • Evaluate enterprise applications and business processes to identify operational improvements, efficiencies, and corrective actions.
