About The Position

Develops, enhances, and maintains requirement lists, user guides, flow charts, standard operating procedures, and other documents related to the collection, storage, and usage of large data sets. Assists in gathering user requirements for a complex electronic disease surveillance system. Collaborates with program area and IT staff to ensure that the system meets program area needs and that issues are addressed and resolved as they are identified. Participates in the configuration of a large electronic disease surveillance system, including facilitating requirements gathering session and follow-up sessions to ensure that the system will meet program area requirements. Share findings vendor and agency Information Technology (IT) staff. Facilitate and assist with system testing, including smoke testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and other activities to ensure that the system is ready for user activity upon go-live. Develops documentation of processes, test results, and other activity related to system deployment for use by deployment staff and program area leadership. Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned, including required travel if requested, and responds as directed during emergencies which may occur outside normal work hours, and travel if requested.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and professional experience related to the position.
  • Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
