About The Position

Mater is seeking a skilled and collaborative Business Analyst to join our team at the Mater Newstead Corporate Office in a full-time, maximum-term contract position for 12 months. This role will play a key part in driving the business analysis function for Mater's Application Maintenance portfolio, supporting the ongoing enhancement, optimisation and continuous improvement of enterprise applications that underpin critical business and clinical operations. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will identify opportunities for improvement, translate business needs into practical solutions, and support the successful delivery of application-related initiatives that improve efficiency, user experience and organisational outcomes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise applications, systems enhancements or operational improvement initiatives
  • Strong requirements elicitation, documentation and process mapping skills
  • Experience working within application maintenance, technology, digital transformation or operational support environments
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across a complex organisation
  • Experience facilitating workshops and driving consensus among diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience supporting testing, implementation and change activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology, Health or a related discipline
  • BABOK and/or ITIL Foundation certification
  • Experience using Visio, SharePoint and Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities for application maintenance and enhancement initiatives
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business challenges, operational requirements and improvement opportunities
  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements, functional specifications and process improvements
  • Develop current and future state process maps to support solution design and optimisation
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder consultations and requirements gathering sessions
  • Assess the business impact of proposed system changes and enhancements
  • Support testing activities, including test planning, scripting and defect management
  • Contribute to change management, training and deployment activities where required
  • Work closely with vendors, technical teams and project stakeholders to support solution delivery
  • Assist with risk, issue and change management processes and ensure alignment with Mater frameworks and standards
