About The Position

TCG, a B Corp government contractor, is seeking a Business Analyst for a short-term project. The primary objective is to define functional and technical requirements for a new, modern, AI-enabled application user interface (UI) and analytic framework to support data collection and analysis for a government agency. This role involves working with technical team members to plan tasks and timelines for eliciting, validating, and documenting requirements using user stories, requirements traceability matrices, wireframes, and data models. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for facilitating interviews and requirements gathering sessions with government stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, understand the importance of accurate information dissemination, adapt quickly to change, take initiative, manage multiple tasks efficiently, possess a strong work ethic, and value collaboration and communication. US Citizenship and an Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance are required. This is a hybrid position requiring in-person attendance in downtown DC several times a week, and the applicant must live within commuting distance of Washington, D.C.

Requirements

At least five (5) years of overall experience.
A minimum of three (3) years experience serving as a Business Analyst on technical IT projects.
At least three (3) years experience working as a Business Analyst performing requirements gathering and acting as a liaison between stakeholders and technical team members.
Demonstrated experience leading requirements gathering sessions.
Experience working with collaboration tools designed primarily for software development tools (e.g. Atlassian Confluence and Jira, etc.) to manage day to day activities of a development project team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills that translate well into requirements baselines that both technical experts and business owners can understand.
Demonstrated ability to develop a deep understanding of project needs through project management and business analysis techniques.
Understand Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Define functional and technical requirements for a new, modern, AI-enabled application user interface (UI) and analytic framework.

Talk to clients about technology, understanding their non-technical perspective and using political savvy to reassure rather than overwhelm them.
