About The Position

ICF is seeking a motivated and skilled Business Analyst to join their team. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to analyze business processes, identify improvements, and develop solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. The position requires conducting research, gathering data, and collaborating with technical teams and business units to ensure seamless integration of solutions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong communication skills. This position can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States, with a strong preference for candidates residing in Puerto Rico due to periodic in-person meetings. Candidates outside Puerto Rico must be willing to travel up to 15% to Puerto Rico for meetings. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
  • 2+ years of experience in a business analyst role or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis and business process improvement techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and common data/reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Remote position, located in Puerto Rico, or willing to relocate to Puerto Rico, and able to travel up to 15% to visit clients, stakeholders and essential meetings at ICF’s office in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar).
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, PMBOK, etc.).
  • Experience preparing reports, dashboards, or performance tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with geospatial, environmental, or housing-related programs.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather and document requirements, and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and workflows and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyze business data to provide actionable insights, trends, and reports to inform decision-making.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure that business requirements are accurately reflected in system enhancements or solutions.
  • Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and overseeing project timelines and deliverables.
  • Support coordination between government partners and stakeholders, helping ensure program activities are aligned with requirements and priorities.
  • Create detailed documentation including business cases, use cases, and workflow diagrams.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet the defined requirements and provide ongoing support during the implementation phase.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and methodologies and recommend best practices to improve organizational processes.
