About The Position

The Business & Data Analyst will support the Director of Treasury Data Management by working on various ongoing regulatory projects, mainly initiatives related to Liquidity Risk and Asset & Liability Management, to ensure the integrity of captured data in Treasury owned applications. The incumbent will ensure that systems continue to be executed on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis after implementation. The role involves eliciting requirements from business teams, suggesting changes and improvements, and ensuring seamless development and end-to-end testing through all cycles. Proper documentation of all activities in accordance with enterprise change management guidelines is also required.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Business Analysis and SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and ETL.
  • Experience in UAT, Testing, and ETL.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and relational databases.
  • Understanding of Capital Markets, including loans, deposits, swaps, options, and fixed-income products.
  • Strong understanding of Interest Rate Risk, SOX, BI, Reporting, QRM, Risk, Financial Risk, IRRBB, and liquidity risk.
  • Experience in Operation, Asset Liability Management, Data Analytics, and Treasury.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Macros, Troubleshooting, and Power Queries.
  • A University Degree is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry-related experience in data warehousing, relational databases, end-user (BI) reporting, ETL development, and Capital Markets.
  • Strong understanding of Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), liquidity risk (LCR/NSFR), and balance sheet modeling.
  • Familiarity with Basel III requirements and regulatory reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience in Treasury, Financial Risk Management, or data analytics, preferably within a banking environment.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including building macros and automated processes using power queries.
  • Experience using MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Design knowledge in Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) systems or similar tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support Treasury Data Advisory, Solutions & Operations by conducting user acceptance testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Recommend and assist in the development of new or enhanced reporting systems, policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Modify established procedures and approaches to suit specific Treasury requirements.
  • Provide value-added data analysis services to technology and business partners, specifically in Liquidity and Asset & Liability Management areas.
  • Maintain an appropriate internal control environment, including documentation of changes in upstream systems affecting the treasury data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners as needed.
  • Identify and implement areas of improvement within the data warehouse and develop sound business processes and technical solutions to address business issues and challenges.

Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
