About The Position

Cicero-MGT is a management consulting firm focused on implementing data-driven strategies for private, public, and social sector organizations. Our K-12 Education practice aims to improve learning and life outcomes for all children by partnering with leaders in government, philanthropy, and other education organizations to solve complex problems. This position is part of a pilot career pathway model designed to provide business analysts with foundational training and broad exposure to multiple practice areas. In Year 1, you will be part of the Management Consulting Center of Excellence (CoE), specializing in K-12 projects while receiving training and professional development. In Year 2+, you will have the opportunity to work on projects across different practice areas to broaden your experience and explore specializations. This structure offers both focused education-sector training and diversified management consulting experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1–3 years of full-time, post-graduate professional experience REQUIRED (strong preference for consulting and/or education experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical, problem-solving, or client-facing roles
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in team environments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet frequent deadlines
  • Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, or market research
  • Familiarity with data visualization and presentation best practices
  • An ability to navigate ambiguity comfortably and think strategically

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute core project workstreams, including data collection, research, analysis, and synthesis of findings
  • Translate data into actionable insights and contribute to strategic recommendations
  • Develop client-ready deliverables (presentations, reports, models, memos) with increasing independence
  • Support the project team by managing work plans, preparing meeting materials, tracking timelines and budgets, and following up on next steps
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and client stakeholders
  • Share analyses and insights both in writing and verbally for variable audiences
  • Demonstrate initiative and independent problem-solving, even in ambiguous situations
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and partners, developing knowledge of their issues, needs, and context
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive landscape, and developments in education policy and practice
  • Make frequent use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Codex)
