About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support institutional research and reporting initiatives. This role will focus on survey administration, data reporting, and analytical support for organizational planning and decision-making. The selected candidate will coordinate survey schedules, manage course evaluation processes, monitor response rates, and ensure data integrity across multiple reporting platforms. This position also supports ongoing reporting initiatives such as institutional factbooks, graduate placement reports, and ad hoc survey/data collection projects.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience creating and administering surveys and data reports
  • Hands-on experience with survey platforms such as Qualtrics, SmartEvals, SogoSurvey, Alchemer, or similar
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • 2+ years of experience using Pivot Tables and advanced Excel reporting functions
  • Strong experience in data analysis, reporting, and maintaining data accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL or similar data extraction/query methods
  • Experience supporting institutional research, education, or survey-based programs
  • Familiarity with reporting automation and dashboard development
  • Experience working with large datasets and analytical reporting tools

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain survey distribution schedules for institutional and departmental initiatives
  • Create, administer, and manage surveys using online survey platforms such as Qualtrics, SmartEvals, SogoSurvey, Alchemer, or similar tools
  • Monitor survey participation and response rates, ensuring timely follow-up and process completion
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all survey and reporting activities
  • Support course evaluation processes and maintain ethical and efficient survey administration procedures
  • Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc data reports for institutional stakeholders
  • Assist with the online Factbook and Graduate Placement reporting processes
  • Generate dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI or Tableau
  • Utilize Excel advanced features, including Pivot Tables, for reporting and analysis
  • Support new survey initiatives and institutional data collection projects as needed
  • Analyze collected data and present findings in a clear, actionable format
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide analytical support
  • Maintain documentation related to survey methodologies, schedules, and reporting procedures
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data handling standards
  • Respond to additional institutional survey opportunities and special reporting requests
