About The Position

The Business Analyst, Procurement Services supports the procurement team by delivering data-driven insights, managing contract and vendor documentation, and helping streamline procurement processes. This early-career role works cross-functionally with category managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support sourcing decisions, contract compliance, and continuous process improvement.

The position is based at Choice Hotels International’s corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, Maryland. Regular onsite presence is required under the hybrid schedule: onsite Monday through Thursday and remote on Fridays. Relocation assistance and employment visa sponsorship are not available.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, procurement, supply chain, finance, or a related analytical role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage documentation accurately.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with contract management, RFP processes, or vendor management.
• Interest in process improvement and automation tools, such as Power Automate or RPA platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards to track procurement KPIs, spend trends, and savings initiatives.
• Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, vendor performance issues, and process inefficiencies.
• Support contract management activities, including tracking key terms, renewal dates, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and organize contract repositories and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Conduct vendor performance analysis, including scorecards and comparative spend and quality assessments.
• Assist in creating and administering Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including drafting requirements, distributing them to vendors, and compiling responses.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and assist in implementing tools or workflows to increase efficiency.
• Document current-state procurement processes and support the design of improved workflows.
• Collaborate with category managers, finance, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and support procurement initiatives.
• Assist with preparing presentations and summaries for leadership review.
