About The Position

CGI is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in Life and Annuity insurance operations. The role applies expertise in back-office functions—including policy issuance, policy servicing, claims, premium application, and disbursements—to solve complex problems and contribute to the growth of CGI’s Life/Annuity practice. The position is preferred in CGI’s Lafayette, LA; Cary, NC; NYC, NY; New Brunswick, NJ; or Plymouth Meeting, PA offices, using a hybrid working model. Other CGI offices may also be considered.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Life/Annuity operations.
Demonstrated experience generating written materials such as Standard Operating Procedures, performance reports, and process documentation.
Experience with LifePRO or similar Life and Annuity policy administration platforms.
Experience with workflow/case management platforms, including LDS or similar solutions.
Formal training or experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field.

Nice To Haves

Experience with OnBase or other enterprise document management platforms.
Professional insurance credentials such as FLMI, ALMI, or ICA are strongly preferred.
Experience working in an insurance operations or TPA environment.

Responsibilities

Lead analysis of Life and Annuity operations, including processes, staffing and organization, and performance metrics.
Document and clarify business rules and process flows.
Identify opportunities to rationalize, automate, and improve operations.
Create executive-level reports and presentations with recommendations and justifications.
Support IT teams in identifying automation and other systems-related opportunities for improvement.
