About The Position

This position serves as the primary liaison between court business users and IT teams for the statewide case management system, Odyssey Enterprise Justice (EJ) and Judge Edition in JD18. The Business Analyst provides functional support, data quality oversight, and reporting coordination to ensure reliable case management operations and accurate information. The role works closely with clerks, judicial staff, court reporters, administration, and external stakeholders on initiatives that intersect with Odyssey (eFile/eFlex, interfaces, reporting, public access, integrations). The position is functionally embedded with and collaborates closely with the OJA Case Management System (CCMS) team to ensure consistent practices, escalations, and statewide alignment. Work is performed under the supervision of the IT Infrastructure Manager and is reviewed through conferences, documentation, and evaluation of results obtained. This position requires on-site presence much of the work week, with the potential for hybrid flexibility as approved or required.

Requirements

  • Requires an associate degree in business, information system or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in business analysis, including collecting and analyzing business requirements for IT projects and acting as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into business/functional requirements and translating those requirements to non-technical staff.
  • Proficiency in creating documentation such as business process documents and workflows.
  • 3 years or more of experience may be substituted for education.
  • A successful candidate will also show strong customer support skills, analytical thinking and verbal communication skills, the ability to map workflows and recommend solutions, and able to collaborate and work with court teams, OJA, vendors, and external agencies.
